When my sister asks me to help her create a LARP, one of her greatest passions, I decide to film our journey. In doing so, I get closer to her — and put myself at stake too: as a brother, an adult, and a filmmaker. My Sister is a Pirate tells the story of how, through the creation of that game, two siblings find each other again after years of distance, turning the film itself into a shared playground between order and chaos, childhood and adulthood.
An adventure documentary in which the creation of a live action role-playing game turns into a mythical ritual between brother and sister: a game to reconnect and rediscover the magic of childhood.
