"A parallel journey where signs of the future are already present."
An audio diary from 2786 comes to the present. Vocal notes of a Journey to Italy recorded by a young German tourist. They recount a dystopian scenario: the sea level is 65 metres higher; Rome, Naples and Milan are no longer where they are now, but on high ground; the Po Valley is a tropical sea and southern Italy a barren desert.
This film recounts a journey between the present and the future. A journey that moves between the tale/diary of Milordo – who exactly 1000 years after his compatriot Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, in 2786, decides to emulate his exploits – and the observation of Italy today.
A parallel journey where signs of the future are already present.
