Nicolle, Kevin, and Gianluigi each bring their own unique backgrounds and physical realities, yet they find a shared path upward through climbing.
They are brought together by Brenta Open – a project conceived by mountaineer Simone Elmi – which aims to make the Dolomites accessible to everyone.
The documentary follows them through their daily lives and athletic training, capturing both moments of strenuous effort and bursts of enthusiasm, while weaving their personal stories into the striking visual grandeur of the Dolomites.
The narrative culminates in a group climb, where the quest to push beyond one’s limits transforms into a collective experience—a form of simple, tangible spirituality defined by reaching hands, steps taken in unison, and silences that invite inner reflection.
In this way, the summit becomes a symbol of a journey that seeks not merely a destination, but a deeper sense of shared experience.
